A Renewed Spirit for the
Magical Mile!
|
The Magical Mile celebrates its
renewed spirit with a new look and a fresh design.
Not only has the Wolcott Street / Lakewood Road
Business Association installed new signs at the
boundaries of Waterbury’s longest retail shopping
district, but they have revamped their image with an
informative, content-driven Internet presence. For
years, the Association has provided renovation and
rebuilding efforts which have enhanced commerce in
the area and has successfully driven business and

customers together. In tough economic
times, Waterbury and Naugatuck Valley area residents are
hungrily searching for bargains, personal service, and true
dollar value when shopping. The friendly and committed
businesses of the Magical Mile offer all of this. Big Box
retailers, privately-owned shops, restaurants and
service-oriented businesses make the Magical Mile
Waterbury’s premier shopping destination.
On the Magical Mile customers will find a
variety of reputable law, real-estate, insurance and other
financial service businesses like
G. S.
Regan Associates, Inc., Naugatuck
Savings Bank, Webster Bank and more. Restaurants such as Panera Bread, Kumo Japanese Cuisine, Tequila’s Mexican
Restaurant, Big Franks and others offer pleasant dining
experiences. Retailers like TC’s Pawn Company, KarTele
Cellular Phones, Lemon Tree Market, Play It Again Sports,
and others provide bargain shopping, with a personal touch.
The diversity of Magical Mile businesses continues: if
you’re looking for home care, New England Home Care and
Utopia Home Care are ready to serve. Planning a vacation?
A&S Travel Center should be your first destination.
A consistently positive business
experience is the commitment of Magical Mile members. Each
year the Association works to expand its role in the
community. Donating thousands of dollars to area charities
such as Waterbury Youth Services; working with the
Children’s Community School, holding fundraisers for
Disabled American Veterans and working with the town to keep
their properties clean and attractive-looking are just a few
of the ways members maintain a dependable relationship with
the community and their customers.
The Magical Mile shopping district
thrives. Association member businesses stand apart from
others in their commitment to offering the best to area
consumers. New growth is always on the horizon. During the
Holiday shopping season and year-round, the Magical Mile
provides excitement, community and great dollar value!
